Gameplay effects[]
In the Journal, it will notify the player that one of the family members is thirsty/hungry or dehydrated/starving. Nothing will happen if the player doesn't give them water,
Trivia[]
- A tip of the Boy Scout Handbook makes a joke on hunger and starvation, saying that "hunger leads to starvation, starvation leads to death and death leads to...well, nothing, really".
- The best strategy to keep everyone healthy, well-hydratated and properly fed is to give them food and water every 5 days. Scavenging might mess up the rationing scheme though, so pay attention.
- Sometimes, when a whole can of soup/bottle of water is consumed, a broken bottle or an empty can of soup may appear in the bunker.
- When left insane for too long, some characters may consume a whole water bottle or a whole can of soup.
