These are a list of references and Easter eggs that can be found in 60 Parsecs!

60 Seconds![]

In the throwing a party event, the Gas Mask or Sock Puppet can be used as a "guest" for the party, it's mentioned by the main computer that the Captain called the "guest" Ted, Dolores, Mary Jane or Timmy, the first names of the McDoodle family in 60 Seconds.

Y, The Last Man[]

The name of Maegan Mann is a nod to the character Allison Mann from the comic book series Y, The Last Man.[1]

Back to the Future[]

The player can encounter an event where a blue print is found for a device called the "flux capacitor", the player has the choice to assemble it. If denied, the main computer mentions the only person to successfully build one is "a scientist living in a small mountain town in California, unsure which year." This is a reference to the device of the same name and the inventor of the flux capacitor, Dr. Emmet Brown from the Back to the Future series. In the Back to the Future films, Dr. Emmet Brown is a scientist who invented the flux capacitor, a device that makes time-traveling possible; it's the main component in the DeLoreon time machine. Hill Valley, California is where Dr. Emmet Brown resides. The "unsure which year" line said by the main computer may be referring to Dr. Emmet Brown's constant time-traveling throughout the films.

Wreck-It Ralph[]

The achievement for repairing 10 items is called 'Fix-It Felix.' This is a reference to Fix-It Felix Jr., the tritagonist of the film Wreck-It Ralph and the protagonist of the arcade game Fix-It Felix Jr. In the film and game, he is a handyman.

Chocolate Rain[]

On Phobonos there's a chance that an acid rainstorm can occur and the player will have to attempt blocking the acid from the inside of the shuttle (strength) or the outside (agility). If the latter choice is unsuccessful, A.S.T.R.O. will say this:

During the acid storm, you ran up onto the slippery shuttle to seal the leak, but you kept stumbling and losing your footing on the hull. Eventually you gave up. The chemical rain leaked into the shuttle and got everywhere, even as you tried to sweep it away. It was enough to make everyone spew up the last portion of soup they enjoyed. Some stay dry, and others feel the stomach pain. Acid rain!

The last lines "Some stay dry, and others feel the stomach pain. Acid rain!" are a reference to the song Chocolate Rain by Tay Zonday. The specific lyrics referenced:

Some stay dry and others feel the pain. Chocolate Rain.
