Merrymen are off-screen characters. They are dressed in green pyjamas. They take from the rich and give to the poor. There is a chance that they will give or take things from your shelter depending on the amount of items that you have. The fewer the amount of items in the shelter, the more likely they are to give things; the reverse is also true.

Journal description[]

A group of people dressed in green pyjamas knocking on our hatch is not something we anticipated. Yet this is exactly what happened. Furthermore, they insisted they are 'Merrymen' and wish to take from the rich and give to the poor. We're pretty poor, so maybe we could make some new friends? Should we let them in?

If they say you are rich and you let them in:

Those 'Merrymen' were not merry at all. They told us that we were rich, and that we should share with the other 99% of the wasteland. They grabbed a few things and left. We couldn't do anything to stop them - their green clothes were too damn hypnotizing!

If they say you are poor and you let them in:

To know if you are "Poor" you have to have ≤6 items (however this item count doesn't count Water and Soup cans):

They will give you at least one item, But it depends on how many items you had before so If you have only one item they would give you a lot of items but if you have 5 you might get 1 item

If you don't let them in:

We didn't answer those peculiar calls and kept the door locked until the noises outside faded away. We're not exactly sure we want those people to come back. They sounded harmless enough, but can harmless people be trusted in these troubled times? They might be worse than those who don't seem harmless at all.
