TThe Padlock is a new item (along with the Suitcase) introduced in the "What's in the suitcase?" September 2015 DLC.
Appearance
The Padlock appears to be a red lock. There's an key included on it when in the shelter.
Scavenging info
During scavenging, the padlock takes up 1 inventory slot.

Gameplay
The padlock can be used to lock the shelter against unwanted raiders and be brought along as expedition equipment to get 2 Water Bottles. It is very useful since the player can leave the fallout shelter abandoned if he/she has the padlock inside. Unfortunately, it only has one use and cannot be repaired.
Trivia
