Survival in 60 Seconds[]

60 Seconds has great endings, and they are all relatively normal in difficulty. Not too hard, not too easy. After getting all the achievements, and challenges, you might get a little bored. I know you. You want to survive for as long as possible. You're like me. I have a strategy guide on how to survive for as long as possible.

60 Seconds 300+ day run[]

Surviving for this long is an extremely difficult task. It is only possible in 60 Seconds!, and not 60 Seconds Reatomized. This is due to changes in the use of the harmonica and Pancake (in ReAtomized, he requires food and he will die without it). Credit to Biliati Papad (YouTube) for telling me that, if you have Mutant Mary Jane, the harmonica can be used unlimited times on raiders. The record (not recorded!) I have gotten is 569 days on TSAR BOMBA, with Dolores going insane after Mary Jane dies. The runs featuring 737 and 1000 days are not legitimate, and the runner blatantly faked the run by changing events around.

Little Boy/Fat Man Difficulty are Recommended.

Scavenging Tips:[]

  • You need Mutant Mary Jane to pull this off.
  • You MUST have a harmonica.
  • I'd recommend collecting 2 family members. (Ted/Mary Jane), but you can bring all four if you want. It's possible.
  • Collect all family members, or at least Mary Jane. You will need about 4-5 soup/water each (inside the shelter). Map, Harmonica, Medkit, Axe, and Gas Mask (and maybe Ammo if you collect gun) are crucial. Radio can cure insanity, Flashlight and Ammo if you have time, since there is a possibility of pulling out cards while finding ammo.
  • Food and Water is necessary, but not that necessary. You will get them more during scavenging.

Survival Tips:[]

  • Feed and Water every five days.
  • Don't send Mary Jane out unless she is a mutant. You can get the mutant if you don't do anything in the Green Goo event or the Spider event (boy scout book use can also trigger mutant Mary Jane), or not doing anything about the talking roaches, trying to communicate with you (boy scout book on left, bug spray on the right-side scenario)
  • Survive as normal. You should scavenge every 30+ days, or more. The less you scavenge, the better.
  • Raid old people, but not too much, as family might go insane.
  • Use food/water when mutants offer to help you go on expeditions/defend from raiders
  • Do pancake events except save the dog. The dog will only eat more and more of your food.
  • Don't do cat events, as Sharikov will try to multiply in your shelter and again take your soup cans.
  • When you finally do get Mutant Mary Jane, be sure to watch for the "talk to Mutant Mary Jane" scenarios. You should usually say yes, as it has more of a chance of working. Sometimes it doesn't.
  • Send Mutant Mary Jane as often as physically possible and be sure to feed her when she's hungry.
  • Day 300 is when the Mutant starts being useless, but she can still defend shelter. I'd say you should keep her around after you stop getting items from expeditions.
  • Read Caution. Other than that, you should be guaranteed a 300+ day run.

CAUTION!!

  • The only scenario that can end your run quicker than starvation is when the firefighters raid you. From there, use gun as often as possible, and make sure Boy Scout Book does not get lost. It can repair the gun. The Axe can also be traded for a gun, if you lose your gun if you use Axe in firefighter scenario.
  • Mutant can be kept around to defend for you, if you choose to do so. That's why I said to keep her around once she stops getting items.
  • You should be good for a 300+ day run.

Important:[]

Scavenge pattern stops around day 300, when you stop getting supplies from expeditions. You will rely on your own supplies in order to survive.

If harmonica does not work, if you have not yet had Mary Jane walk with the band teacher, you should try it. She will bring back harmonica. It should work second time.

300 Days! (ReAtomized)[]

I am Patel_Dev3. Speedrun.com. I was a world record holder for a whole year, before people figured out how to beat me. Ever since then, I've managed to see 300 day runs! That's crazy! I love what the community is doing. However, I was the FIRST to break 200 days, and I will share some tips for doing so. I've managed to break a whole year. I might do another run on this, but yeah.

Little Boy/Fat Man Difficulty is Recommended

Scavenge Tips:[]

  • This one is a little different. You'll need to scavenge properly. It is best to bring 2 family members, Dolores and Ted, or Ted and Mary Jane (attempt to get her as mutant). If you want, you can attempt for Mary Jane (mutant version) and you can even attempt to bring Timmy, but it may not provide the best results.
  • Optimally, go for 6+ food and water, suitcase, and whatever else you can get, unless in Fat Man/Tsar Bomba. Then forget the suitcase.
  • Because Reatomized is harder to survive off of, you need to employ some unusual and truly odd strategies in order to traverse the record runs of Longest Survival
  • I recommend killing off the second family member, as it provides the best results and minimizes the scarcity of supplies, but it is possible to get 200 with two family members still alive.
  • However, in order to guarantee 300 day runs almost you need to do the following.
  • Every other day, you need to prepare to scavenge, but never go unless you are in need of supplies.
  • Optimally, you should scavenge every 80-90 days, as if you don't scavenge for over 100 days, raiders will come eventually, even if you haven't gone out. Also, firefighters might raid you too often. If you do it too often, raiders come a lot earlier in the run.
  • When the cockroaches attack you, let them attack you. When the next event comes, don't do anything about them either. The third time is when you kill them with a boy scout book. This will prevent the family members from getting sick over cockroaches and also acts as a placeholder event for when all events stop occurring (and only the attack ones come back)
  • Ted will come back with more items if you start an expedition the day after you feed him. Same with every other family member.
  • Killing neighbors (or really any event that doesn't explicitly state that someone is going outside) does not count as a going outside event. So do them in moderation. Supplies are of the essence. Plus, 4+ food and 4+ water are vital to the run.

Important:

  • If you have someone sick and you are in need of food and don't have a medkit, let them die. Unless you need them to survive (one parent)
  • DO NOT GET THE CAT AS THEY WILL CLONE AFTER DAY 100!!!
  • It is better if you try to get an ending (call the twins, don't give them anything else, as you will have to raid the neighbors), that way you can end your run whenever you want, and 2... some raider events will be replaced by government rescue events.
